LIFE LESSONS
Really I'm in the business of people building. Sure you'll become a better baseball player, but what I've found over the years is that many parents are impressed with my ability to inspire and bring out the best in their players, but not just from the baseball side of it. The life lessons I instill in players is lasting.
Everything we work on transfers back to the classroom, back at home, and life in general outside of the baseball barn. Baseball is such a great teacher. Facing your fears, admitting weakness, overcoming adversity, doing the work, never giving up, putting in the work before you expect any rewards, being patience, being in control of your emotions, controlling the "controllables" and stopping making excuses are some of the those things. The list goes on and on. Life isn't fair and neither is baseball. You will become a better baseball player, but you may even become a better person in this process.
Maybe it's time you start doing what you need to do to take control of your life and baseball destiny.
