STOP DIPPING YOUR SHOUDLER!

YOU ARE DROPPNG YOUR ELBOW!  CHANGE YOUR RELEASE POINT! KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!!! QUIT POPPING UP!!!!  Any of these sounds familiar?  Maybe all of them!?  Every parent and coach out there that has tried, knows exactly the pain and frustration of trying their best to help out a struggling kid and it keeps happening over and over to no avail.  I have been there as a teacher and as a coach, so I know all about it.  I've coached and taught thousands of kids over the years and I understand how to motivate and help them learn.  Kids aren't trying to fail and they sure as heck ARE, in fact, TRYING their very best with what they got.  The problem is it's not that simple.   Bad habits need new muscle memory built in.  Good habits must be practiced.  Screaming doesn't really work long term, so you have establish a relationship and think big picture if you are going to help players out. Turning baseball into a war of words with your kid is never a good solution and nobody wins in the end.  It's supposed to be about them and creating a fun and competitive outlet for them to be all they can be.

Empower your kid and get them proper instruction.  Once they have tuned out your voice, you have to move to Plan B and not waste a lot of time or they'll be grown up and gone before you know it.   Kids are smarter than we give them credit for and they need outlets for their talents.    Get them up and out working on their game.  It's not cheap getting lessons, but in the long run they are more than worth it and they will thank you for it down the road.
