THE MENTAL GAME
Attempting to handle the ups and downs of baseball can be enough to drive some right out of the game entirely. It happens to some kids at too young of an age. It doesn't have to be this way. I love teaching players how to actually embrace the stress and excel in the face of it. This game of baseball is a game of failure. Failure is imbedded in it's DNA. It's a really hard game and I'm not saying that to say it. The mental game is 100% required if you want your son to stay in the game and not quit. Kids have to be taught how to handle their emotions and need to be re-wired how they think about hitting and pitching. They just don't pick it up by accident, it needs to be taught and practiced.
